Position Overview
The Hidden Spire Collective, a participatory arts group based at the Old Fire Station in collaboration with Crisis Skylight Oxford, is seeking a freelance visual artist to collaborate on a new arts project exploring the theme of Hope and Despair. The selected artist will work collaboratively with participants and project staff to shape both the process and final public outcomes. Emphasis in this project is on co‑creation, responsiveness, experimentation and shared authorship.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with participants and project staff to shape the process and final public outcomes of the project.
• Contribute to a collaborative, experimental and responsive arts practice that encourages shared authorship.
Qualifications
- Experience in collaborative making, sculpture, installation or spatial practice.
- Experience with participatory/facilitation processes.
Remuneration
£4,200–£5,600, depending on the agreed scope of work.
