Casual Duty Manager

Pegasus is seeking friendly, organised and proactive Casual Duty Managers to join our Front of House team.
Reporting to the Front of House Manager, you'll play a key role in creating an outstanding experience for everyone who visits Pegasus. You'll support the smooth running of performances, events, creative learning activities and the day-to-day operation of our building, ensuring a warm welcome and a safe, inclusive environment for audiences, participants, visitors and staff.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Providing excellent customer service and visitor welcome.
- Opening and closing the building and acting as Duty Manager.
- House managing performances, events, courses and creative learning activities.
- Selling tickets and processing bookings using Ticketsolve.
- Supporting safeguarding and the wellbeing of children and young people.
- Serving refreshments and handling cash and card payments.
- Reconciling daily takings and floats.
- Maintaining accurate records and complying with GDPR and data protection requirements.
- Responding appropriately to emergency, first aid, security and building issues.
- Supporting the promotion of Pegasus's programme and keeping front of house information up to date.
We're looking for someone with at least 12 months' experience in customer service or an events-focused role, excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
You’ll be organised, resourceful and confident working independently and as part of a team, with experience of working with young people. Experience with ticketing systems, cash reconciliation and public-facing venues would be advantageous.
A First Aid at Work qualification and knowledge of GDPR, emergency and fire procedures would also be desirable. This is a casual worker contract, meaning work will be offered as it arises and you can choose whether or not to accept individual shifts.
