We are recruiting a confident, creative and engaging person to join us as a full‑time Marketing Officer. The role leads on the delivery of our Marketing strategy and resources, as set by the Head of Marketing and Audience Development. We are looking for someone who is either developing their marketing skills or has more experience and can bring seasoned expertise to support a local charity. You will have a natural flair for communicating to the public and for creating eye‑catching and concise marketing materials, be passionate about the Arts and Theatre and their capacity to positively improve the lives of our community, and be meticulous and confident in your ability to deliver a range of events and projects. Above all, the Marketing Officer must be well‑organised and able to manage a comprehensive annual marketing campaign across all channels. Relationship building, particularly for our community‑facing work, is key to our success. This role will lead on building our presence and messaging about both our ticketed stage performances and our wider Theatre programmes. How we communicate our marketing messages into the wider world is vital to telling our story and growing our work. Our marketing team is full of character, knowledgeable about the work we host, and deeply rooted in the local community. The team consists of this role, a part‑time Head of Marketing and Audience Development, and a part‑time Take Part Marketing Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on the implementation and coordination of all marketing and PR activity in the Marketing plan, including social media, paid digital advertising, in‑house promotion material, press, visiting companies marketing input, and related administration.
  • Support the development of marketing and audience recruiting strategies and plans through personal input, and work to monitor and evaluate marketing activity.

Qualifications

  • Professional marketing experience (minimum 1–2 years)
  • Experience of managing and using a CRM system
  • Experience of running social media campaigns for an organisation
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft)
  • Experience of budget input and management
  • Strong level of personal organisation
  • A passion and working knowledge of the arts; initiative, drive and an eye for detail
  • Good communication skills, in particular in written form
