Oxford Health Charity is seeking an artist or arts workshop facilitator to design and deliver a series of participatory art workshops linked to the Warneford 200 exhibition programme taking place in museums across Oxfordshire. Warneford 200 marks the bicentenary of the Warneford Hospital in Oxford through a programme of exhibitions, events and community engagement activities exploring the history of mental health care, wellbeing and community heritage.
We are looking for a facilitator to deliver approximately six creative workshops while the exhibitions are on display at different museum venues across Oxfordshire (for example Woodstock, Abingdon, Banbury, Didcot and Wantage).
Responsibilities- Design and deliver approximately six participatory art workshops aligned with the Warneford 200 exhibition programme.
- Develop workshop content and format proposed by the facilitator, including approaches such as printmaking, drawing, mixed media or other participatory art activities suitable for public workshops.
- Ensure workshops are accessible and engaging for a wide range of participants, including adults, young people and community groups.
- Collaborate with the Warneford 200 project team to coordinate delivery at each venue across Oxfordshire (e.g., Woodstock, Abingdon, Banbury, Didcot, Wantage).
- Fee: £350 per workshop session (approximately six workshops).
- Experience designing and delivering participatory art activities in public or community settings.
- Ability to work with a project team to coordinate delivery at multiple venues.
- Strong communication and engagement skills to work with a broad audience including adults, young people, and community groups.
