About Us
Oxfordshire County Council is seeking a Technical Lead – Work Place Engagement with extensive experience to work within the Behavour Change and Travel Plans team. As a Technical Lead within the team you will have the opportunity to oversee and lead on the council’s engagement with major employers across the county to support and enable sustainable and active travel and behavour change interventions and to lead on the development of the councils own travel plan, which will include being responsible for the monitoring, governance, reporting and communication of the OCC Travel Plan.
About the Role
This role will be supporting the major employment sites in developing a package of measures to support the development of Active Travel interventions and the uptake of public transport.
You will help to develop a work place strategy to support the delivery of the LTCP, along with developing bids to secure funding for the delivery of the strategy.
This role will Work be a cross county role with a focus on supporting the major employers in the county.
About you
You will be an experienced transport planner who has a keen interest in championing the place making and Active Travel. You will have experience in delivering behavour change interventions and including good knowledge of supporting active travel projects. You will be a team player, helping to develop those in junior roles and also have strategic political awareness of working within a political organisation. You will seek to drive continuous improvement enabling ambitious and innovative delivery for our organisation and communities in the future.
