Consultant in Public Health

Salary range: Senior Grade B - £96,911.00 to £109,837.00 per annum (plus 5% On call supplement)

We are seeking a dynamic Public Health professional to take up this exciting role in a first-rate Public Health Team in a county where we can really make a difference.

Main duties of the job:

This is a hugely exciting time to be working in Public Health in Oxfordshire. About you:

As a qualified Consultant in Public Health you will be expected to have the full range of skills and experience to lead across the broad spectrum of public health and to be able to flex lead areas as required.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

• a sound understanding of Local Government, the NHS and partnership working

• the ability to deliver targets and meet deadlines
• the ability to combine an approach grounded in public health skills with top quality management, partnership and commissioning skills

Always learning: You will have inclusion in the GMC Full and Specialist Register with a license to practice/GDC Specialist List (or be eligible for registration within six months of interview) or Inclusion in the UK Public Health Register (UKPHR) for Public Health Specialists (or be eligible for registration within six months of interview). If UK trained in Public Health, you must also be a holder of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview. If non-UK trained, you must have evidence of equivalence to the UK CCT.
