As our
Financial Accountant (Transformation) , you’ll play a pivotal role in strengthening and evolving our Finance function during an exciting period of growth.
You’ll take ownership of hands‑on finance transformation activities, improving financial records, enhancing audit readiness, strengthening controls, and supporting key projects that leave the Finance function in a significantly stronger position.
The Role
This is a 12‑month fixed‑term opportunity for someone who enjoys getting into the detail and seeing work through to completion.
You’ll combine strong technical accounting knowledge with excellent analytical skills to improve financial data, documentation and processes, while supporting transformation initiatives across Finance.
From rebuilding audit support and investigating historical transactions to improving Net Suite and supporting operational finance, you’ll have a direct impact on the quality and effectiveness of our Finance function.
- What You’ll Be Working On
- Strengthen audit readiness by reviewing historical accounting records, preparing audit working papers, improving documentation and supporting robust financial controls.
- Own balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and ensure issues are resolved with complete supporting evidence.
- Support finance transformation initiatives, including Net Suite enhancements, system testing, data cleansing, migration and validation activities.
- Build and maintain structured Excel workbooks, reconciliations, trackers and finance documentation to improve reporting and operational efficiency.
- Assist with process improvements by documenting procedures and implementing practical changes across the Finance function.
- Provide flexible support across month‑end activities, payroll, treasury, VAT, reconciliations and wider operational finance responsibilities.
- Contribute to strategic finance projects, including treasury initiatives, ERP improvements and other transformation programmes.
- What We’re Looking For
- Experience working within a Finance function with a strong understanding of general accounting principles and double‑entry bookkeeping.
- Experience supporting month‑end processes, preparing journals and completing reconciliations.
- Strong analytical skills with experience investigating financial discrepancies and working through complex or incomplete financial information.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyse and manipulate large datasets.
- Experience supporting audit activities and preparing high‑quality supporting documentation.
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail and written documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently with minimal supervision.
- A proactive, methodical approach with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to delivering high‑quality work.
- Comfortable undertaking detailed, hands‑on work and seeing tasks through to completion.
- Flexible, collaborative and willing to support across the wider Finance team as priorities evolve.

- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
- Experience with Net Suite and Solution 7.
- Experience supporting finance system implementations, ERP improvements or data migration projects.
