We're looking for an enthusiastic Community & Equity Coordinator to help strengthen representation, belonging and participation for underrepresented and marginalised student grroups at Oxford.

You’ll work closely with elected student leaders, representatives, community groups and University stakeholders to ensure marginalised student voices are engaged and are empowered to shape decision-making.

This role will sit within our Student Engagement Team and focus on engaging and empowering our diverse community of more than 27,000 students at the University of Oxford.

What you’ll do:

  • Coordinate and support Oxford SU's Part-time Officers (PTOs), including Equity and Community Officers
  • Develop guidance, training and resources to support effective student representation and inclusive leadership
  • Help students and representatives engage with democratic processes, campaigns and representative activity
  • Support community-building initiatives that strengthen belonging and participation across the University
  • Gather and analyse student feedback and engagement data to inform priorities and improve impact
  • Work collaboratively with student leaders, student groups and University departments to advance access, participation and student experience

  • Experience applying inclusive and accessible practices when working with students, volunteers or communities
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Experience supporting projects and delivering meaningful outcomes
  • The ability to navigate complex structures and build effective partnerships
  • A commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and improving the student experience
