About the Role

As our new Senior Marketing Manager, you will lead the global marketing strategy for the Oxford Test of English (OTE), driving recognition and acceptance of the test across different segments and key international markets. This role strengthens OUP's position in the global assessment landscape, particularly within higher education, while contributing to the growth of the wider assessment portfolio. You will design and deliver full-funnel marketing strategies, develop thought-leadership programmes, and position Oxford English Assessment as an innovative, credible voice in the sector. Success relies on deep audience insight, effective multi-channel execution, and strong collaboration across global marketing, sales, recognition, assessment, and education teams. The role also owns the global assessment events strategy, ensuring a compelling presence at major industry events, and oversees integrated marketing activity across digital, print, content, and partnerships. This is a six-month fixed term contract. We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

About You

  • Customer-focused, solution-focused, team player.
  • Able to think creatively and demonstrate effective problem-solving skills.
  • Able to synthesize data and information and use to inform marketing plans.
  • Comfortable with change and open to learning (i.e. CRM and automation).
  • Ability to multi-task and comfortable managing/working across different project teams.
  • Familiar with marketing fundamentals (use of data, KPIs, customer lifecycle, customer journey).
  • Knowledge of or experience in the education sector, particularly in relation to admissions, recruitment or ELT is desirable.
  • Understanding of Assessment Business Landscape is desirable.
  • Experience of managing a wide portfolio of projects and responsibilities.
