We’re looking for a talented and motivated Senior Designer to join our Secondary ELT Design team, working across a wide range of print and digital products for international education markets. You’ll produce high‑quality design for both print and digital delivery, create high‑impact series identities for use in product and marketing, and contribute to market‑leading covers, layouts, digital content, and promotional materials.
The role involves managing external design and typesetting suppliers, outsourcing visual content, and leading on illustration style and direction, while ensuring all work meets OUP’s standards for quality, accessibility, and D&I. You’ll collaborate closely with editorial, media, and marketing teams to ensure design solutions meet product and customer needs.
You’ll manage schedules and budgets for an allocated list of titles, maintain accurate project information, and support cost‑efficient workflows. The role also includes maintaining brand toolkits and asset‑management systems, and staying up to date with trends in design, illustration, photography, and publishing technology, while ensuring compliance with OUP policies.
This is a 6-month fixed term contract with the possibility of extension. We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
