We’re looking for a talented and motivated Senior Designer to join our Primary ELT Design team, working across a wide range of print and digital products for international education markets. You’ll create high‑quality, engaging design, develop impactful brand identities, and contribute to market‑leading covers, layouts, digital content, and marketing materials.

Responsibilities

  • The role involves managing external design and typesetting suppliers, outsourcing visual content, and leading on illustration style and direction, while ensuring all work meets OUP’s standards for quality, accessibility, and D&I.
  • You’ll collaborate closely with editorial, media, and marketing teams to ensure design solutions meet product and customer needs.
  • You’ll manage schedules and budgets across an allocated list of titles, maintain accurate project information, and support cost‑efficient workflows.
  • The role also includes maintaining brand toolkits and asset‑management systems, and staying up to date with trends in design, illustration, photography, and publishing technology, while ensuring compliance with OUP policies.

Working pattern

We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
