We are seeking an enthusiastic Marketing Assistant to join our busy journals marketing team. Responsibilities include implementation of strategic marketing activities across our portfolio of journals, under direction of their manager, and based on departmental goals and objectives.
Core responsibilities of the role include:
- Utilizing marketing tools such as social media, paid advertising, email and multimedia to carry out strategic objectives.
- Writing marketing copy for digital and print campaigns.
- Creating design assets for marketing campaigns.
- Assisting in preparation of marketing reports and plans.
- Conducting analyses of campaigns and social media channels as part of reporting to key stakeholders.
- Researching markets key to our titles, and carrying out required data analysis.
- Communication with internal and external stakeholders.
This is a six-month fixed term contract. We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
About You
Some experience of working within a marketing and/or publishing environment would be preferable but is not essential. The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and quickly without supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A strong sense of initiative with the ability to make appropriate suggestions for improvements to both marketing campaigns and working practices.
- Highly creative and have a can-do, positive attitude.
- Willingness to travel.
- Knowledge of social media channels.
- Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
