About the Role
The Identity Access Management and Digital Trust Lead plays a key role in defining, implementing, and maintaining the Press's digital identity and access management strategy, ensuring secure and compliant identities, credentials, and access rights across all systems, users, and devices. The role fosters a trusted digital environment internally and with third-party suppliers, while overseeing strong supplier management to ensure Statements of Work deliver required outcomes and effective interfaces. Additionally, the position involves managing relationships with service providers responsible for BAU identity operations.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing an enterprise-wide IAM and Digital Trust strategy, leading governance across IT, HR, and other functions, and advising senior leadership. The role oversees IAM operations, including identity lifecycle, role-based and privileged access, and integration with systems like Microsoft Entra ID and Delinea Privilege Manager. The key duties include monitoring and responding to access-related incidents, ensuring compliance with regulations such as GDPR and ISO 27001, maintaining a digital trust framework, driving continuous improvement, and promoting security awareness. This position also manages policies, audits, and supplier relationships to ensure effective delivery and alignment with business objectives.
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
About You
We're looking for someone who can provide clear direction, set ambitious objectives, organize work effectively, and communicate openly while bringing out the best in others. You will take ownership, stand firm under pressure, and be comfortable championing ideas independently. You can adapt easily to change, make decisions with incomplete information, and manage risk and uncertainty confidently. Strong focus and prioritization skills are essential - quickly identifying what matters most, removing obstacles, and keeping teams aligned on critical goals.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Leading cross-functional teams in a global environment to deliver security outcomes
- Security expertise and background
- Experience of working with partners and 3rd parties to build cross domain teams and deliver challenging outcomes
- Strong commercial acumen
- Deep domain knowledge and experience
- Strong understanding of current and emerging security technologies and practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives in parallel and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of best practice frameworks (NIST CSF and ISO 27001)
