About the Role

We are looking for a commercially driven leader to grow our corporate revenues across print and digital journals, reprints, sponsored content and medical books. You will shape and deliver sales strategies that maximise global opportunities, strengthen relationships with key partners in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors, and support our shift from print to a fully digital environment. You will lead, motivate and develop the Corporate Sales team - comprised of our Supplements, Digital Advertising and Reprints team - ensuring targets are met and our portfolio is effectively represented to customers worldwide. Working closely with colleagues across Editorial, Marketing, Digital, Technology and other functions, you will help create budgets, pricing strategies, media kits and new revenue initiatives, while contributing to successful new journal bids.

This role requires strong stakeholder management, deep knowledge of the sector, and the ability to represent the business professionally with societies, partners and major accounts. You will focus on driving market insight, oversee external agents, uphold our ethics and values, and ensure our products and partnerships continue to grow in line with our long term goals. We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

About You

  • Experience in Corporate Sales.
  • Knowledge of the relevant regulatory (ABPI, EFPIA), copyright and contractual constraints.
  • Previous experience of successfully managing a team.
  • Previous sales or customer facing experience.
  • Proven analytical skills to interpret data and identify opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrable experience taking the initiative and problem solving.
  • Highly skilled in using software packages such as Excel and CRM systems, with a proven aptitude to learn and work with new systems.
  • Proven stakeholder management, collaboration and influencing skills.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation abilities.
  • Experience of Academic Publishing or Medical Sector is desirable.
