About the Role
This role is within the friendly and creative international marketing team who work in close collaboration with UK colleagues and the international sales and editorial teams to support schools and booksellers in over 170 countries. The role is particularly exciting as it is responsible for regional marketing and it provides the post holder with the opportunity to learn about multiple markets across multiple countries. The post holder will develop, manage and implement regional marketing initiatives for international resources and customer segments, in order to increase brand awareness, sales revenue and market share. A typical day might include writing marketing strategy, monitoring budgets, holding a catch‑up meeting with key stakeholders in region, presenting a campaign plan and creating digital content for use on social media. No one day is ever the same! This is a 6 month fixed term contract with the possibility of extension. We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
About You
You will be a creative, customer‑focused individual who learns quickly and has the ability to understand and respond to market need, driving the continual development of our regional marketing strategy. To be successful in this role, you will ideally be:
- Experience of working in marketing and/or publishing
- Experience of managing a budget
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team working skills
- Ability to manage a heavy workload with maximum attention to detail without losing sight of overall objective
- Well organised and able to prioritise
- Quick to learn a range of IT systems
- Publishing or marketing qualification (e.g. CIM)
- Knowledge of schools market
- Experience of managing projects
