We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic clinical psychologist/neuropsychologist to join our Early Supported Discharge (ESD) stroke service within the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust Department of Psychological Medicine. This is a permanent WTE post.
The post holder will provide a highly specialist clinical psychology / neuropsychology service to patients who have suffered a stroke and their families. As an integrated member of the Early Supported Discharge team, the post holder will deliver direct assessment and intervention alongside consultation and supervision to the wider team.
The post holder will be required to work with patients and families across a range of contexts including acute medical wards and community settings (homes, residential services, community hospitals).
The post holder will be fully embedded within our supportive and cohesive Early Supported Discharge (ESD) team, working closely with multi-disciplinary colleagues. In addition, the post holder will sit within the wider Department of Psychological Medicine - an innovative and dynamic team of psychologists and psychiatrists co-located within the medical environment providing services to patients across the lifespan. The department has close links with the Oxford Doctoral Course in Clinical Psychology and regularly contributes to teaching and supervision of trainees.
