Health Innovation Oxford and Thames Valley (HIOTV) is seeking an exceptional Chief Executive Officer to lead our organisation through its next phase of growth and impact.
As one of NHS England's health innovation networks, we work across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire West, Frimley and the wider Thames Valley to accelerate the adoption of proven innovation, improve patient outcomes, support economic growth and reduce health inequalities.
This is a unique opportunity to lead an organisation operating at the interface of the NHS, academia, industry, local government and research.
You will shape strategy, influence national policy, and work with senior leaders across the health and care system to bring innovative technologies, pathways and ways of working into everyday practice.
Reporting to the Chair and Board, you will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring HIOTV continues to deliver outstanding results for NHS England, the Office for Life Sciences and our wider partners.
Responsibilities
- Lead the overall organisational development in terms of culture, operating model and people of HIOTV to ensure it has the capacity and capability to fulfil its purpose.
- Role model behaviours that live HIOTV’s organisational values of collaboration, quality and impact; and encourage similar behaviours in colleagues.
- Show a commitment to learning, self-reflection, appraisal and development.
- Operate in an environment of significant complexity and ambiguity, taking time to understand the context of the operating environment and demonstrating good judgement; and offer support and guidance for others seeking advice.
- Be the external ambassador of the organisation and feel comfortable working across a range of senior stakeholders across the Thames Valley and nationally.
- Working for Our Organisation
Health Innovation Oxford and Thames Valley (HIOTV) works in partnership with the NHS Thames Valley Integrated Care Board, NHS provider trusts, universities, industry and patients across the Thames Valley region.
For more than a decade we have supported NHS transformation through scaling innovation.
We are one of health innovation networks (HINs) across England commissioned by NHS England and the Government Office for Life Sciences.
