Overview
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, caring, highly motivated Band 5 or Band 6 Therapeutic Radiographer to join our friendly & welcoming team at the OUH Radiotherapy Centre @Swindon, a satellite of the Oxford Cancer Centre. Our purpose‑built satellite unit in Swindon houses 2 Varian TrueBeam linacs with 6DoF couches and a GoSim Radiotherapy CT scanner. It is an extension of the radiotherapy service at the Oxford Cancer Centre & networked by Aria. Patients are at the heart of what we do and we will deliver a range of techniques including IMRT, VMAT, DIBH, IGRT & SABR. All grades are expected and encouraged to participate in these treatment & verification techniques.
Responsibilities
- Cover all sections of the department including mould room, CT scanning, virtual simulation and contouring.
- Deliver a wide range of both simple and complex treatments and IGRT techniques.
- Support the team leader in the day‑to‑day management of the assigned pre‑treatment or treatment work area, assisting in the organisation and management of the clinical workload.
- Liaise with the multidisciplinary team and ensure efficient service delivery to meet workload targets.
- Supervise, support & teach junior members of staff and students.
Qualifications
- UK professional registration as a Therapeutic Radiographer (or equivalent).
- Experience or training in IMRT, VMAT, DIBH, IGRT & SABR preferred.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and participation in audits, projects or research.
