Assistant Patient Pathway Administrator

Patient administration underpins the patient journey and supports clinical teams in delivering high-quality patient care, significantly enhancing the patient experience. Effective and efficient administration ensures high data quality and optimal use of capacity and resources.

The post holder is responsible for assisting in providing a professional, comprehensive, and efficient administrative service to all patients and department members. This includes delivering administrative support to a specialty team, supporting Consultants, clinical, and nursing staff, and managing patient care documentation.

Key duties include:

1. Booking and uploading 2WW GP referrals
2. Scheduling follow-up appointments for patients
3. Answering phone calls and providing support to Patient Pathway Administrators
4. Contacting patients to arrange clinic attendances, sometimes at short notice
5. Canceling patient appointments as needed
