About the role:
- Shape young minds by designing and teaching your own course that inspires curiosity and academic growth.
- We're looking for enthusiastic tutors to deliver engaging courses to small groups of 12-14-year-olds during summer 2026.
- You'll design and teach your own curriculum across a 1-week course, fostering a positive classroom environment where students feel challenged and supported.
Course dates between early July and mid August 2026.
From £32 to £55 per hour, depending on subject expertise and teaching experience.
Additional benefits:

- Accommodation and travel expenses not covered.
Working pattern:
- 12 hours of lessons across 1 week.
- Teaching takes place on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
- 3 hours preparation allowance.
- Reports to Academic Coordinator.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver 12 interactive and engaging 1-hour lessons tailored to a class of up to twenty students aged 12-14.
- Create a supportive and stimulating classroom atmosphere.
- Encourage intellectual curiosity and exploration.
- Expert classroom management.
- Write personalised reports.
- Complete mandatory training.
- Stay attentive to student welfare.
About you:
- You're passionate about your subject and bring creativity and flexibility to lesson planning.
- You're committed to fostering an inclusive environment.
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject.
- Experience teaching or working with young people in an academic setting.
- Interactive, engaging, and inclusive teaching practice.
- Friendly and professional communications with students and staff.
- Right to work in the UK (we cannot sponsor work visas for this role).
- Experience working with international students and non-native speakers.
- Experience working in academic summer schools.
- Experience designing your own syllabi and lesson plans.
- Working toward or already possess a PGCE or other teaching qualification.
