About the role:

  • Location: Oxford
  • Department: Marketing
  • Start: ASAP
  • Reports to: Marketing Director

We’re looking for a data-savvy CRM Manager to own and optimise our customer journeys across email and automation. You’ll take full responsibility for how we communicate with students, parents, agents, and alumni through our CRM (currently Marketing Cloud) — building journeys that convert, retain, and delight.

You’ll work closely with marketing, sales, operations, and product teams to design and deliver seamless, high-converting campaigns that support both commercial and brand goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • CRM Strategy: Own and evolve our CRM strategy, with a focus on lead nurturing, conversion, and retention. Introducing new channels where relevant. Manage and optimise our marketing automation platform and CRM system (e.g., HubSpot, Klayvio, Marketing cloud, Salesforce) to ensure seamless integration and maximum efficiency.
  • Journey Building: Map and optimise automated customer journeys across the entire customer lifecycle and sales funnel – from first enquiry to alumni communications.
  • Campaign Execution: Build, test, and send segmented email campaigns for lead gen, sales support, onboarding, and upselling.
  • Segmentation & Personalisation: Develop advanced segmentation to improve engagement, personalisation, and conversion.
  • Data Management: Maintain clean, structured, and compliant data within the CRM platform. Develop nurture workflows, and qualification processes in collaboration with sales teams. Ensure data quality and integrity across marketing and sales platforms.
  • Reporting & Optimisation: Track performance and continuously improve CRM activity based on data, feeding into weekly performance reporting. Stay current with industry trends and new marketing automation technologies to recommend and implement improvements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing (especially performance and content), and collaborate with cross-functional teams including content, design, sales, and product to align automation strategies with business objectives.
  • A/B Testing: Regularly test and refine subject lines, content, send times, and journeys.
  • Compliance: Ensure all CRM activity is GDPR-compliant.

Essential attributes:

  • Proven experience owning CRM platforms (Klaviyo preferred, but others welcome).
  • Proficient with at least one major marketing automation platform (Marketo, HubSpot, Klaviyo, etc.) and CRM system (Salesforce).
  • Hands-on experience building automated workflows and email campaigns.
  • Database management and data quality control.
  • Strong analytical skills – you’re comfortable diving into data and making decisions based on insights.
  • A/B testing and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, deliverability, and GDPR compliance.
  • A customer-first mindset – you think about the person on the other side of the email.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail – you spot the typo before anyone else.
  • Process documentation and improvement.
  • A collaborative, curious, and can-do attitude.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and marketing APIs is a plus.
  • Experience in education, travel, or B2C services.
  • Experience with SMS and WhatsApp marketing.
  • Understanding of international audiences and marketing to affluent households and Gen Z/Gen Alpha students.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

About you:

  • You’re an enthusiastic team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • You’re personable, with a strong team mentality and work ethic.
  • You’re able to adjust your priorities in response to new information, proactively problem solving and delegating or escalating as needed.
  • You take the initiative, making key decisions and ensuring they’re actioned.
  • You’re highly organised, with strong task management skills and great attention to detail.
  • You’re able to communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders both in person and remotely.

What’s in it for you:

  • Training and professional development.
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements.
  • 25 days annual leave.
  • Excellent team culture with regular social events led by our wellbeing team.
  • Company bonus and other benefits.
