Overview

Oxford Spires Academy are seeking a Pastoral Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing and motivating, as well as a passion for supporting students. You will be responsible for providing support to students and their families.

Role and responsibilities

  • Support Heads of Years to guide and manage year groups.
  • Support behaviour, safeguarding, attendance issues and encourage participation in House events.
  • Work closely with tutors and external agencies.
  • Deliver a number of cover lessons throughout the week to ensure consistency of expectations and behaviour during periods of teacher absence.

Contract and hours

This post is 5 days per week, term time only + 5 days.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work as a highly effective team member and exceptional time management skills.
  • Meet the requirements of the person specification.
  • Subject to pre-employment checks which will, where applicable, include a health check, an enhanced DBS check, the Children\'s Barred List check and satisfactory references.
