We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher to join our Pastoral team as a Head of Year (Sixth Form). Our Head of Year’s have a reduced teaching timetable to ensure that they are able to appropriately support their year group and tutors in order to give students the ability to fulfil their potential.
The role of the Head of Year is an integral pastoral role; it includes supporting students with positive behaviours, safeguarding, improving attendance, and encouraging participation in House events. The Head of Year is supported by our Sixth Form administration team to manage and support the cohort. This is an exciting and unique opportunity for the right person.
You should have excellent communication skills, be able to work as a highly effective team member and have exceptional time management skills. We appoint on potential as well as experience, and we are committed to nurturing staff development.
