Overview

As a Junior Dean, you will be part of a team supporting the Campus Leadership Team in delivering our summer programme. You will be responsible for managing a busy schedule of activities and events outside the classroom, leading a team of Counsellors, and ensuring smooth execution through careful planning and clear communication. This role is ideal for an organised, self‐motivated leader with excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Student Safety: Ensure all safety measures and safeguarding policies are followed throughout the programme. Respond quickly to any safety or welfare concerns, prioritising student well‐being. Implement student supervision processes and maintain a safe environment for students and staff.
  • Representing Oxford Royale: Uphold the company's values when interacting with students, staff, and third parties. Work collaboratively with the host venue teams and respond efficiently to their needs.
  • Student Experience: Understand the entire two‐week programme schedule and all activity options. Plan and deliver activities, events, and excursions with attention to detail, ensuring a high‐quality student experience. Adapt and communicate plans clearly to your team, exceeding student expectations.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with the Programme Coordinator and Director to ensure smooth communication across all staff members. Lead and mentor Counsellors, offering support and guidance in managing students. Provide leadership in resolving challenges in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Administration, Systems, and Compliance: Handle daily payments and receipts. Complete risk assessments and event planning paperwork. Manage student registers and report any incidents.

Position Details

Based at a summer site in Oxford, Cambridge, or London. Approximately 50 hours per week across 6 days, including morning, afternoon, and night shifts. Contracts available for 2, 4, or 6 weeks. Mandatory training and campus setup before student arrivals.

Salary: Per week pay – £700 – £750, Training Pay £104 – £112 per day × 5.

  • Oxford: July 5th – July 18th, July 19th – August 1st, August 2nd – August 15th.
  • London: June 29th – July 11th, July 12th – July 25th.
  • Cambridge: July 5th – July 18th, July 19th – August 1st.
