You will lead the Engineering Delivery function within Engineering Operations, owning the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure and technology projects across the UK and internationally. Working closely with senior leadership, you will ensure alignment between business objectives and project execution, while building and leading high-performing, cross‑functional teams.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Leading and developing a team of project and design engineers to deliver complex engineering projects
- Owning the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure, deployment, and construction‑based projects
- Defining project requirements with stakeholders and securing executive alignment and sign‑off
- Building and managing project plans, timelines, layouts, and multi‑million‑pound budgets
- Driving supplier selection, negotiations, and contract execution in partnership with finance, legal, and procurement
- Tracking project performance across cost, time, and risk, and reporting to executive leadership
- Leading cross‑functional teams through the full project lifecycle, from scoping to installation and commissioning
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience leading cross‑functional engineering or operational projects from inception to completion
- Strong budget management experience, typically in the range of £2m–£6m
- Experience working within engineering, manufacturing, construction, or operational environments
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership and external partners
- Strong project management and risk management expertise
- Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills
- Experience managing suppliers, RFIs, and external partner performance
- Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline
The Nice-to-Haves
- Experience assessing value‑for‑money delivery from external partners
- Strong negotiation and mediation skills
- Leadership or Health & Safety qualifications
