This is a critical role in a growing manufacturing business, which needs to take its cost reporting to the next level. The role will be responsible for thorough, accurate and detailed reporting of production costs at a “per process step” level. The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge and experience of manufacturing process costing and will be skilled at implementing and exploiting ERP systems. This is a newly created role to serve the evolving needs of the business. This role is based in the UK with frequent travel to Germany or can be based in Germany.
What will you be doing?
- Taking the leading role in implementing and managing a new full production costing system
- Collaborating with other functions in implementing new ERP software
- Analysis and preparation of production-related KPI’s and reports for all manufacturing areas
- Carrying out variance analysis to understand cost drivers and recommend actions for improvement
- Supporting the production management team with accurate and timely cost centre analysis
- Preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts for production functions
- Being the primary interface between Finance and Production teams
What will you need to succeed in the role?
- Degree in Finance/business administration, industrial engineering or a comparable qualification
- Experience in production controlling and good knowledge of industrial processes and procedures
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing costing methods
- Confident use of Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint and ERP systems, databases and SQL
- Strong analytical skills, high affinity for numbers and IT
- A team player, you take responsibility and approach tasks pragmatically and in a results-oriented manner
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues of other disciplines and departments
- German language skills (both written and spoken)
- Knowledge of Xentral and Planeus softwares
- Knowledge of PV manufacturing.
