Oxford PharmaGenesis is looking for an experienced Account Director to provide leadership, drive business development and champion best practice within our Patient Engagement Team (PET). The PET team delivers a diverse portfolio of medical communications projects, spanning publications and meetings alongside bespoke patient engagement initiatives, including patient materials and events. This role offers opportunities to work across a variety of clients and therapy areas, with the potential for onsite engagement.

We're looking for a confident and commercially minded leader who can identify growth opportunities, navigate complex projects and provide strategic input to proposals and account direction. Strong financial and operational management skills are essential, alongside a collaborative approach to working across teams and clients. The role also offers opportunities to contribute to consultancy activity, attend industry conferences, and support line management and mentoring within the team.

The Account Director we're looking for will have:

  • Significant account management leadership experience within a medical communications agency environment
  • Proven experience mentoring, developing and supporting team members
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting and revenue oversight
  • Experience of resource planning across multiple accounts and project teams
  • The ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues
  • A track record of identifying opportunities and delivering solutions that add value for clients
  • A strategic, proactive and adaptable approach, with the confidence to navigate complex projects and support business growth
