Are you an experienced Senior Medical Writer who thrives on developing and delivering diverse and engaging content? Oxford PharmaGenesis is looking for a Senior Medical Writer to join one of our busy London-based teams focusing on a mix of rare diseases and cardiology. You will work on a broad range of deliverables, including manuscripts, plain language summaries of publications, companion pieces (such as slide decks, infographics and plain language summaries) and congress materials.

We are keen to welcome someone who can develop high‑quality scientific content and who also has experience of reviewing other colleagues’ work and providing mentoring and training for medical writers. This role includes the potential for line management responsibilities.

You will support dynamic and fast-paced communications programmes for innovative therapies in rapidly evolving areas of medicine, working closely and strategically with clients at the forefront of rare disease and cardiovascular research. You will be confident reviewing and providing constructive feedback on the work of medical writers who are gaining experience, helping to maintain the highest standards across the team.

You will be interested in engaging with clients and enjoy building relationships with clients while also being comfortable leading scientific discussions with a range of stakeholders. This is a hybrid role based in our London office.

We are looking for a Senior Medical Writer who has:

  • a strong scientific background: a science PhD (life sciences preferred) would be advantageous
  • experience of writing in the medical communications sector
  • a passion for communicating science
  • confidence when communicating with a range of scientific and healthcare professionals
  • the ability to think strategically and provide innovative solutions
  • a proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach to team working.
