The predicted salary is between 23793 - 29081 £ per year.
As a Facilities Caretaker, you will help to ensure that our office buildings are safe, secure, well maintained, and ready for colleagues and visitors each day. This will include opening and preparing buildings at the start of the working day, carrying out regular site inspections, reporting any maintenance, safety or security concerns, and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of office facilities and communal areas.
In this varied role, you’ll undertake routine maintenance and minor repairs, liaise with external contractors and suppliers, and support planned preventative maintenance of buildings, fixtures and equipment. You will support health, safety and compliance activities, office and building services, and grounds and housekeeping, including fire alarm testing, emergency lighting checks, fire safety inspections and portable appliance testing (once trained).
You will also help to set up meeting rooms, training spaces and event areas, support the Office Coordinator during busy periods, oversee supplier deliveries, complete postal runs and carry out general site support activities, including watering plants and walkarounds of shared spaces. Some heavy lifting and occasional travel to other offices will be required.
Working hours: 30 hours per week, ideally 07:30-14:30; however, these hours are somewhat flexible.
Requirements:
- a personal vehicle with business insurance (mileage paid)
- experience in facilities, property or grounds maintenance
- basic repair skills and confidence with carrying out small maintenance tasks
- a proactive, reliable and friendly attitude
- awareness of building security and health and safety issues (full training will be provided)
