Role: Nurture Teacher
Location: Reddish Hall School, Stockport SK5 6UY
Salary: £32,000.00 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.00am – 4.00pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only
Start: September 2025

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Nurture Teacher to join our close-knit team at Reddish Hall School, part of Acorn Education.
About The Role
The teacher is responsible for high quality teaching to ensure the effective delivery of the school’s curriculum. The ideal candidate will successfully set a vision and targets for pupil success and be confident in using their knowledge and expertise to monitor progress, give regular feedback and encouraging our young people to take a responsible and conscientious attitude to their own work and study.
- Plan and teach well-structured lessons, following the school’s plans, curriculum and schemes of work
- Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of
- assigned pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment
- Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils
- Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
- Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
- Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
- Participate in arrangements for preparing pupils for external tests
- To lead the learning of a group of pupils who experience a range of needs and challenges (primarily social, emotional and behavioural)
Essential
- UK QTS or equivalent
- Teaching Qualification or relevant experience
- Successful Primary or Secondary or SEN teaching experience
- Commitment to continuing professional development
- Experience of co-ordinating the work of support staff and/or other members of staff.
