Location: Care First – Pheasey, Walsall area, Birmingham – The Clinical Team will support the provision of services across a number of sites within Walsall, Kings Norton and Walsall.
Salary: up to £60,000 depending on experience plus £3000 Welcome Bonus (Welcome Bonus is payable as one payment of £1,500 after completion of one month and one further payment of £1,500 upon completion of your final probation period. T&C\’s Apply)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, hours to overlap with core school hours (Part time hours may be considered)
Contract: Permanent (Term time only, or flexibility around full-time contract can be discussed based on your personal circumstances)

This is why we aim to have a multidisciplinary clinical team for each of our sites to provide this vital provision in collaboration with our education teams. For clinicians to achieve their Continued Professional Development (CPD) goals we offer a £2000 training allowance, so that you can complete role specific training tailored to your individual requirements once your probation has been completed.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to bespoke assessment and intervention plans for the adults we support.
- Support the provision of services across a MDT including collaboration with Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy.
- Participate in the growth of an enhanced psychological therapy offer through supporting apprentices, students and therapy assistants.
- Deliver training to different cohorts and engage in research projects and professional development opportunities.
- Adhere to service policies, MDT and Clinical Governance structures to support future development and ensure quality assurance.
Essential Criteria
- HCPC registration
- Doctoral level degree in Clinical/Counselling/Forensic/Educational Psychology (or equivalent if qualified prior to introduction of relevant Doctorate)
- Relevant experience in related settings or with related client groups
- Experience of effective multidisciplinary working and communicating with families/relatives and carers
- Ability to develop formulations, write clinical records, and deliver interventions
- Excellent time management, organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple demands
- Full driving licence and access to a car; willingness to travel
Desirable
- Experience with client group (e.g. neuro-diverse and/or social, emotional and mental health) and setting types (schools or residential care)
- Experience providing supervision
- Knowledge of current philosophies and legislation affecting clinical practice
- Post-qualification training in relevant topics and evidence-based interventions
