Role Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Salaried GP to join an established primary care team. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality patient-centred care while contributing to clinical governance, practice development, audit, education and service improvement.
Key Requirements
- Eligible to practise independently as a GP in the UK
- Full GMC Registration with GP Registration
- Entry onto the Medical Performers List
- MRCGP
- Experience working within UK Primary Care within the last 3 years
- Good understanding of the GMS Contract, particularly QOF
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-skilled clinical team
- Strong clinical judgement, initiative and ability to work under pressure
- Experience contributing to clinical governance, audit and quality improvement
- Ability to undertake consultations across a range of clinical settings
- Willingness to participate in duty rotas, patient visits and cover arrangements as required
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Membership of a recognised medical indemnity organisation
- Flexibility to work the required sessions
Key Responsibilities
- Provide primary healthcare services across appropriate clinical settings
- Undertake routine, urgent and same-day consultations
- Manage patient queries, prescriptions, referrals and clinical correspondenceMaintain accurate and timely clinical records and coding
- Contribute to QOF, clinical governance, audits and service improvement
- Participate in vaccination and immunisation programmes
- Provide appropriate clinical supervision and support to colleagues and learners
- Participate in clinical and staff meetings, CPD, training and research activities
- Undertake patient visits and participate in the duty rota
