Diagnostic Sonographer - Obstetrics, Gynaecology & General Ultrasound

Role Overview
We are currently seeking experienced Diagnostic Sonographers with a background in Obstetric and Gynaecological ultrasound to join our expanding network.
This role involves providing independent ultrasound services within a private diagnostic clinic environment, ensuring safe, accurate and high-quality patient care.
The primary requirement is for sonographers experienced in Obstetric and/or Gynaecological ultrasound. General diagnostic ultrasound experience is desirable but not essential.
Key Requirements
- Minimum relevant clinical experience in Diagnostic Ultrasound
- Proven Obstetric and/or Gynaecological ultrasound experience
- HCPC registration where applicable
- Ability to work independently within a private diagnostic clinic
- Demonstrable competency within your agreed scope of practice
- Experience with early pregnancy, dating, growth/reassurance and other obstetric examinations
- Experience in pelvic and/or transvaginal ultrasound
- Ability to recognise and appropriately escalat[e] abnormal or concerning findings
- Excellent patient communication skills
- Current CPD
- Right to work in the UK
- Current professional indemnity/medical malpractice insurance covering diagnostic ultrasound/sonography and locum work
- Additional ultrasound competencies such as abdominal, thyroid, soft tissue, breast or vascular scanning would be advantageous but are not essential.
Candidates do not need to cover every specialty and will be considered based on their individual experience and verified scope of practice.
Working Pattern
- Saturdays: 9:30am - 5:00pm
- Mondays: 10:00am - 3:30pm
- Wednesdays: 12:30pm - 7:00pm
The main requirement is approximately 1-2 Saturdays per month, with additional Monday and Wednesday sessions available depending on clinic requirements.
