Job Description

We are looking for a Demand Planner to join our team in Oxford. This role is critical in ensuring our supply chain can meet the global demand for our innovative nanopore sequencing products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons.
  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, and evaluate forecast results.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.
  • Interact with sales, marketing, and finance to understand demand forecast drivers.
  • Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
  • Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase‑outs.
  • Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in demand planning or supply chain management within a manufacturing or technology environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and trends.
  • Proficiency in using ERP and demand planning software.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across different departments.
  • A proactive approach to problem‑solving and process improvement.
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
