The Category Manager will develop and implement sourcing strategies across our wafer to chip supply chain to aid in the manufacture of ONT products. The role will focus on reducing risk, improving service levels and reducing cost in the supply chain.
The Details- Run procurement processes including contracts management and RFI/RFQ process to ensure purchasing at the best price for products and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times.
- Monitor commodity trends and product availability.
- Manage supplier relationships and performance management across risk, quality, service and cost.
- Identify and research potential new products and suppliers.
- Assess total costs of ownership of supplier portfolio.
- Develop and implement strategies for procuring products or services to business requirements with support from the wider supply chain management team.
- Lead supplier development/contractual performance and metrics reviews.
- Maintain a supplier compliance framework in line with business policies and regulatory requirements.
- Build relationships across the business.
- Someone who has several years procurement/purchasing/supply chain experience in any field.
- Enthusiasm and experience in managing multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A person who is self motivated and able to demonstrate strong organisational and problem solving abilities.
- Knowledge of wafer fabrication, PCBA manufacturing or micro-electronics would be of benefit.
