The company has developed a new generation of nanopore-based sensing technology for faster, information rich, accessible and affordable molecular analysis. The first application is DNA/RNA sequencing, and the technology is in development for the analysis of other types of molecules including proteins. The technology is used to understand and characterise the biology of humans and diseases such as cancer, plants, animals, bacteria, viruses, and whole environments.

We are looking for a Requirements Analyst to join us and work alongside our development teams, creating and managing requirements specifications across our software platform. Reporting to the Technical Product Manager for Regulated Software, you will learn about our products in depth and use this knowledge to bridge the gap between stakeholders and software development teams. You should have a good understanding of software and be curious about hardware and biology so you can collaborate with developers, testers, engineers, technical authors, and product managers across the company.

The Details...

  • Develop a deep understanding of our software product and overall technology solution
  • Work closely with product management and development in order to build a product that fits the company strategy
  • Collaborate with design and development teams to create and improve software features
  • Write product specifications to ensure the software team has a clear understanding of requirements
  • Work closely with the test team to ensure requirements can be tested and will be tested effectively

What We're Looking For...

  • A technical background in engineering, a natural science, or computer science, or proven experience.
  • Ability to write requirements that are structured, unambiguous, and testable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience organising information for maintainability and navigation.
  • Experience of working in regulated environments, especially medical devices.
  • Ability to facilitate user story sessions and requirements workshops with cross-functional stakeholder groups and technical team members
  • A real passion for technology, innovation and a curiosity about DNA sequencing
  • An ability to build effective relationships and is flexible and collaborative in approach
