About the Role
As a Commercial Operations Specialist, you’ll play a key role in optimising commercial workflows across our ERP and CRM platforms (with a strong focus on Salesforce). You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve systems, drive alignment, and ensure scalable solutions across regions. The ideal candidate is a strategic problem‑solver with deep operational understanding of commercial systems and processes, capable of navigating complex stakeholder environments across Sales, Customer Care, Technical Services, Finance, and Operations. They will influence alignment, adoption, and collaboration among regional commercial teams to deliver a unified and optimised customer experience globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the optimisation of the end‑to‑end commercial journey – from order capture and fulfilment through to customer support and renewal.
- Map, evaluate, and continuously improve commercial processes across ERP (e.g., Oracle/SAP) and CRM (Salesforce Service Cloud and Sales Cloud) systems.
- Collaborate with global and regional commercial teams to identify process bottlenecks, data integrity issues, and system gaps; propose and implement scalable, long‑term solutions.
- Translate business needs into system requirements, and partner with IT and functional stakeholders to drive enhancements and automation.
- Drive seamless alignment and integration between CRM, ERP, and other commercial tools to enable accurate reporting, forecasting, and visibility across the customer lifecycle.
Cross‑Functional Stakeholder Management
- Act as a trusted bridge between regional commercial teams (Sales, Technical Services, Customer Care, Commercial Operations) and global functions (Finance, Operations, Data & Analytics) to ensure cohesive commercial execution.
- Partner with regional commercial leaders to understand local requirements, challenges, and opportunities, translating them into globally scalable solutions.
- Drive effective change management for new processes and systems, ensuring engagement, adoption and sustained utilisation across regions.
Governance & Performance
- Support or lead global commercial process governance forums to ensure alignment, prioritisation, and transparency of system and process enhancements.
- Monitor and report on key operational KPIs.
- Champion data quality, process compliance, and continuous improvement across commercial operations.
- Create and maintain process documentation, and provide training & enablement materials for regional teams to ensure consistent application of best practices.
About You
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years in Commercial Operations, Business Operations, or Process Excellence roles.
- Proven experience with Salesforce and ERP platforms (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite).
- Strong track record of leading cross‑functional initiatives and system adoption.
Skills & Competencies
- Deep understanding of commercial processes: order management, fulfilment, invoicing, support, renewals.
- Advanced Salesforce knowledge (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud); ERP familiarity.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with a systems‑thinking approach.
- Highly organised, detail‑oriented, and proactive.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Administrator or Business Analyst certification.
- Experience with Service Cloud, Quote‑to‑Cash workflows, or renewal management.
