Oxford Nanopore Technologies: Our goal is to bring the widest benefits to society through enabling the analysis of anything, by anyone, anywhere. The company has developed a new generation of nanopore-based sensing technology for faster, information rich, accessible and affordable molecular analysis. The first application is DNA/RNA sequencing, and the technology is in development for the analysis of other types of molecules including proteins. The technology is used to understand and characterise the biology of humans and diseases such as cancer, plants, animals, bacteria, viruses, and whole environments.

We are looking for a Biologics Laboratory Technician; you will be part of the Biologics Manufacturing team located in our brand new Genesis Building, on the Harwell Campus, to support the manufacturing of Sequencing and Expansion Kits. The working hours will be between 08:30 – 17:00 Monday to Friday.

Your Remit Will Cover:

  • Day to Day Bulks (Biologics Buffer, Sequencing Barcodes as example) formulation to meet all demands.
  • Day to Day equipment calibration (pH meter as an example).
  • Liaising with other team members to establish production priorities.
  • Ensure Biologics Procedures and Work Instructions are correctly followed.
  • Support all manufacturing activities as required.

We’ll expect you to have an understanding and interest in Biology or Chemistry or equivalent relevant laboratory experience in a related field. You will ideally be familiar with GLP and GMP standards.
