Overview
Digital Verification Engineer – 6-Month Contract at Oxford Nanopore Technologies. We are seeking an experienced Digital Verification Engineer to lead the verification of a large mixed-signal ASIC as part of a short-term design project. This 6-month contract role is dedicated to digital functional verification of an existing design nearing completion. You’ll bring strong hands-on expertise in testbench development, simulation, and debugging, working in a fast-paced environment with occasional travel to our Oxford headquarters.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Creating and executing comprehensive verification plans, using methodologies such as constrained random and formal verification.
- Developing and maintaining verification infrastructure including testbenches, test cases, and verification components.
- Writing and executing test cases to validate RTL functionality.
- Collaborating closely with RTL designers to quickly identify, root-cause, and resolve issues.
- Running and maintaining regressions, providing regular results and progress reports.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience & Skills
- 5+ years’ hands-on experience in digital ASIC verification.
- Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM for functional verification.
- Solid understanding of digital logic, RTL design, and verification principles.
- Experience with industry-standard simulation tools (preferably Cadence Xcelium).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Bash for automation and workflow optimisation.
- Highly detail-oriented, adaptable, and effective in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to document work clearly and accurately.
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently and meeting tight deadlines.
