We are looking for an experienced and motivated Tender Specialist to join our Tender Specialist team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, discovery, management, and maintenance of tender activities to maximise efficiency, quality, service, and profitability for the organisation. You will report to the Associate Director, Tenders, and work collaboratively across the business, particularly with the EMEAI sales team, to support and manage the successful growth of tender business. This role supports core operational activities and enables data-driven actions to deliver commercial targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maximise tender opportunities and manage the database of responses for Europe South, working closely with the sales team to deliver commercial goals.
- Manage a functional team to deliver the end-to-end tender process, from pre-sales and initial opportunity qualification through to formal proposal submission.
- Oversee tender team construction, roles and responsibilities, deliverables timelines, and approval processes for small, medium, and large deals.
- Utilise agreed internal systems and external tender portals to manage the tender process.
- Develop plans for activities aligned to the overall strategy.
- Drive and manage the end-to-end tender process in support of sales deals.
- Ensure tenders are submitted accurately and on time.
- Manage multiple, complex projects independently with cross-functional team support.
What We’re Looking For:
- A degree in life sciences with a proven track record in a Tender Specialist role.
- Experience in European tender management and working with international teams.
- Knowledge of the life science and genomics market.
- Experience working with customers through the tender process and supporting internal teams.
- Strong understanding of tender process management, requirements, and dynamics.
- Spanish language skills to business-level conversation, both verbal and written.
- Additional European languages, such as French or Italian, would be an advantage.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience setting up reporting processes and using CRM systems, including Salesforce.
- Ability to work under pressure and exercise sound judgement.
