Key Responsibilities
- AWS Infrastructure Design — Architect, maintain, and optimise cloud environments using services such as RDS, ECS, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, and VPC.
- Terraform Automation — Build, maintain, and improve Terraform modules; enforce IaC best practices; manage multi‑environment deployments.
- Container & Orchestration — Support and enhance Docker‑based workloads and ECS deployments.
- CI/CD Ownership — Contribute to GitLab CI pipelines and deployment workflows.
- Security & Secrets Management — Manage and improve secret storage and access patterns using HashiCorp Vault.
- Scripting & Automation — Develop automation scripts and tooling, ideally in Python.
- Cross‑Team Collaboration — Work closely with developers and product teams to support delivery and improve operational excellence.
Required Skills & Experience
- AWS Expertise with production‑level experience across core services (RDS, ECS, S3, Lambda, IAM, networking).
- Terraform Proficiency including module creation, state management, and complex multi‑environment setups.
- Docker and container lifecycle management.
- Strong understanding of GitLab CI/CD, pipelines, runners, and deployment patterns.
- Experience with HashiCorp Vault for secrets and policy management.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
Nice‑to-Have
- Knowledge of monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).
- Scripting skills, ideally Python, for automation and tooling.
- Exposure to cost optimisation in AWS.
- Familiarity with infrastructure security and compliance frameworks.
