We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Customer Platforms team. Our team works with stakeholders across the business to deliver reliable, high-quality customer experience from end-to-end, from our corporate website to our critical business systems integration. The role requires strong technical expertise delivering secure, scalable and reliable systems, working with AWS, CI/CD automation, Python and TypeScript. You will be working closely with a friendly, high-performing, cross-disciplinary team with knowledge and interests across our business and software stack.
Key responsibilities
- Infrastructure-as-code – working closely with the team to design and implement new features using AWS, terraform and GitLab.
- Observability and support – performing root-cause analysis of incidents and improving our OpenTelemetry/Grafana observability tools.
- DevSecOps – ensuring security, governance and compliance across our applications using a shift-left approach, monitoring vulnerabilities and implementing automated security testing.
- Continuous improvement and continuous delivery – ensuring we deploy confidently and quickly by improving and maintaining our testing and deployment processes in GitLab CI.
- Data management – ensuring the integrity, reliability and security of our data across MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis and Storyblok.

- Implementing and advocating a DevOps and DevSecOps culture.
- AWS, especially Fargate, CloudFront, Lambdas, EventBridge and SQS.
- Securing applications and data in a hybrid cloud.
- CI/CD Automation, Infrastructure as Code in Terraform.

- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
