The Role We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to join our growing team.

This is an important hands-on role supporting the day-to-day operation of our research and development laboratories.

You will work closely with scientists and engineers to ensure the lab is running smoothly, safely, and to the highest quality standards, helping to accelerate the development of our medical device pipeline.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in a regulated medical device environment, with real exposure to cutting-edge R receiving goods and logging the goods in the internal system.

  • Manage stores, ovens, humidity chambers, water bath, fridges, freezers and freeze-dryers β€” maintaining correct ordering, cleanliness, and routine defrost cycles.
  • Manage general waste disposal in the lab and manufacturing area; manage disposal processes for samples, reagents, media, and solvents in line with COSHH, safety regulations, and company SOPs Equipment a degree in a life sciences or related field is advantageous but not required.
  • Experience working in a laboratory or regulated environment (industry, academic, or clinical).
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow written procedures accurately and consistently.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Organised, reliable, and capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Computer literate, including standard MS Office applications.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with Gx P or ISO 13485 regulated environments.
  • Experience with LIMS or electronic quality management systems.
  • Understanding of COSHH regulations and laboratory safety best practices.
  • Interest in medical devices, life sciences, or healthcare innovation.
