About us:

At Oxford Lighting & Electrical Solutions (OLES), we don’t just complete electrical work - we deliver structured, high-quality installations across social housing, refurbishments, and private projects. As a NICEIC Approved Contractor, everything we do is built around:

  • Compliance
  • Consistency
  • Doing the job right first time

We’re growing - and we’re looking for electricians who want to grow with us.

About the role:

Build Your Career With a Company That Actually Runs Properly. You’ll be working across Oxfordshire on a mix of domestic and commercial installations, including:

  • Kitchen & bathroom refurbishments (social housing)
  • Consumer unit upgrades & replacements
  • EICRs, fault finding & remedial works
  • Void property upgrades
  • Office & warehouse installations
  • Rewires and system upgrades

This is steady, consistent work - not patchy or uncertain 'Planned'. As the company develops, you’ll also have opportunities to move into:

  • EV charger installations
  • Solar & renewable technologies
  • Testing, supervision, and senior roles

About you:

We are not looking for average. We are looking for electricians who:

  • Turn up on time, every time
  • Take pride in their work
  • Install properly - not 'just get it done'
  • Communicate clearly with the office and team
  • Can work independently without constant chasing
  • Respect tenants, clients, and properties
  • Have experience working in fast-paced environments

If you cut corners or need constant supervision, this isn’t the role for you.

Technical requirements:

  • Must have 18th Edition
  • Valid ECS
  • Electrical Experience of 5+ years
  • Fully Qualified (City & Guilds/JIB or equivalent)
  • Experience in Domestic, Industrial and Commercial sectors (all 3 would be advantageous but not essential)
  • Testing & Inspection qualifications would be an advantage.
  • A CRB / DBS check may be required for the successful candidate
  • Full Driver’s Licence

Who This Is Perfect For:

  • An electrician stuck in a disorganised company
  • Someone ready to step up and be trusted
  • Someone who wants more than just turning up and going home

Who This Is NOT For:

  • People who need chasing
  • Poor timekeepers
  • Anyone who cuts corners or ignores standards

Why join OLES:

  • Well-organised company (systems being implemented properly)
  • Reliable, ongoing work
  • Opportunity to progress into senior roles
  • Expansion into renewables and higher-value projects
  • Team that takes pride in standards and reputation

Salary & Progression:

£43,000 - £50,000 depending on experience and capability

Company van & fuel

Overtime available

Consistent workload

Important:

£50k level is for electricians who:

  • Work independently
  • Test and fault find confidently
  • Support other electricians when needed

We reward ability - not just time served.
