Oxford Learning South Surrey Grandview Heights has openings for upbeat, passionate, enthusiastic, and dynamic tutors who seek work in a rewarding teaching environment. Our Programs offer individual support to students looking to improve their academic skills and study habits.

Candidates must possess a strong passion for seeing students succeed and must be comfortable teaching students ranging in age from Kindergarten to Grade 8 in English. Tutors at Oxford Learning Centre are trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods. Experience helping students with their homework is a plus.

Position Requirements

  • Oxford Learning Centre is open weekdays during after-school and evening hours as well as on Saturdays.
  • Candidates must possess a strong background in spoken and written English and be comfortable teaching up to Grade 8.
  • This role is in-person at the Centre.
  • Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

  • Education: Working towards a bachelor’s degree or similar certification and/or experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience: Strong English written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience tutoring/teaching.
  • Ability to multitask.

Responsibilities (Position Details)

You will work directly with students with the following responsibilities:

  • Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels.
  • Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
  • Filling in post-lesson notes.
  • Completing daily student communication updates.
  • Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times.

In this position, you will play a key role in helping students develop their self-confidence and self-esteem.
