This successful systematic investment manager is looking to hire a hands-on senior developer to be their technical lead. This exciting role will provide you with the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the firm's cutting-edge technology and to shape the team going forward. A company of circa 25 people with over $3bn AUM, you will be working on their systematic global macro fund as well as their new Quant Equity product.
As a hands-on lead, you'll spend at least 50% of your time developing front- and back-office systems. You'll also build and manage the growing team of developers, setting standards and providing mentorship. This role would be perfect for someone who is looking for greater ownership and thrives in a collaborative environment where there is a strong focus on teamwork and idea-sharing.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Minimum 8+ years' experience at similar financial institutions
- Strong development background, including hands-on .Net and/or Python experience, deep SDLC knowledge, and familiarity with modern DevOps best practices
- Outstanding communication skills, comfortable presenting complex tech solutions to senior management and stakeholders
- Hedge fund experience across the full stack of trading is very advantageous
- Near-future availability to start a new role would be a huge plus
