My client is a high-frequency prop trading firm founded in 1998, seeking a Trading Operations Engineer to join one of its trading teams.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring high-volume live trading and portfolio risk
- Contributing to the automated trading operations codebase
- Managing ongoing projects with various support teams
- Coordinating software and hardware upgrades
- Applying programmatic solutions to scale and expand trading operations
- Resolving discrepancies with trading positions, broker statements, and internal applications
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in a related field, and a bachelor’s degree
- Proficient scripting skills in Python and an intermediate understanding of a Linux environment
- Exceptional analytical abilities, strong communications skills, and experience making data-driven strategic decisions
- Strong working knowledge of PNL and Risk reporting applications
- Familiarity with current market structure and regulatory developments
- Ability to analyze and optimize order entry and market data exchange connectivity
- Ability to comprehend and diagnose problems in complex real-time systems with minimal guidance
- Capacity to work equally well independently and as a member of a team
- In-depth understanding of trading technology and fluency in technical concepts
