My client is a high-frequency prop trading firm founded in 1998, seeking a Trading Operations Engineer to join one of its trading teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring high-volume live trading and portfolio risk
  • Contributing to the automated trading operations codebase
  • Managing ongoing projects with various support teams
  • Coordinating software and hardware upgrades
  • Applying programmatic solutions to scale and expand trading operations
  • Resolving discrepancies with trading positions, broker statements, and internal applications

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in a related field, and a bachelor’s degree
  • Proficient scripting skills in Python and an intermediate understanding of a Linux environment
  • Exceptional analytical abilities, strong communications skills, and experience making data-driven strategic decisions
  • Strong working knowledge of PNL and Risk reporting applications
  • Familiarity with current market structure and regulatory developments
  • Ability to analyze and optimize order entry and market data exchange connectivity
  • Ability to comprehend and diagnose problems in complex real-time systems with minimal guidance
  • Capacity to work equally well independently and as a member of a team
  • In-depth understanding of trading technology and fluency in technical concepts
  • Strong multitasking and context-switching abilities across a diverse and fast-paced environment
  • Advanced problem-solving abilities
