Summary
One of the world's largest HFT funds is looking for a talented SRE to join their global infrastructure organisation to work on a wide range of exciting and challenging projects. As a hybrid Systems Engineer/Software Developer, you'll join the area of the business that manages the firm's infrastructure. This involves everything from colocation design/implementation, to optimizing exchange connectivity, to building world-class low-latent Wide Area Networks, consistently identifying and pursuing opportunities to enhance operational efficiency. You'll architect, build and maintain streaming monitoring tooling, configuration management & automation frameworks and undertake comprehensive debugging sessions on low-level performance issues, as well as working on app deployment management and lifecycle, among other responsibilities. This role would suit an outstanding communicator, someone who can collaborate effectively across globally distributed teams, and is at their best when solving difficult technical problems in a fast-paced and energetic environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience with Python and/or Go
- Strong Linux skills or solid foundation in data structures & algorithms
- Metrics and monitoring experience or strong background in statistics
- Experience working with version control and CI/CD systems
- Demonstrable knowledge of working on infrastructure challenges in a reliability capacity
- Proven experience of strategic thinking skills and maturity in tackling complex problems, dealing with people, technology and processes
- Experience with Kubernetes highly preferred
