My client is a leading tech-driven prop trading firm, trading their own capital across a broad range of asset classes, instruments and strategies in markets worldwide. They are looking for exceptional backend software developers to join their Compliance group, providing technology solutions that underpin the firm’s regulatory reporting and trade surveillance requirements. Developers here have large amounts of ownership and autonomy in decision-making, and are always looking for the very best tool to solve each individual problem.
You’ll need to be comfortable working in an ad-hoc mode, where each developer picks up the most urgent or highest priority task and addresses it by making code changes, writing custom code, scripting and spinning up small prototypes. This is a position where the ability to collaborate closely with your team is essential: you will need to constantly context switch to higher priority tasks and delegate to colleagues who have better technical knowledge or capacity.
Requirements:

- Substantial programming knowledge – Java, Elixir, Scala and Typescript
- Financial services experience preferred
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, git, etc.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Desirable:
- Working knowledge of SQL & Spark
- Data Lakehouse implementation experience or working knowledge of underlying concepts
Benefits:
- Strong base salaries + bonus + generous benefits
