Now looking to expand their Commodities team with a desk-aligned engineer, this role offers the opportunity to:
- Partner with trading, research and data teams to develop core analytics and deliver key initiatives
- Understand business challenges and drive technical/quantitative solutions
- Work with large datasets and build data analytics trading tools
- Integrate data and insights into models and investment processes
You’ll be expected to be a self-starter who demonstrates a strong sense of ownership, execution and the ability to work in a hands-on collaborative environment.
Requirements:
- Excellent technology skills. Fluent in Python or comparable language. Experience using multiple programming languages is desirable.
- Experience with complex, multi-site, systems architectures
- Strong Unix operating system knowledge and exposure to a variety of database technologies
- Exposure to commodity markets would be advantageous
- Outstanding academic record: BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science/Physics; or equivalent experience
